Since moving to Prague, he has focused primarily on developing his skillset using trauma-informed approaches, working with adolescents, couples, and individuals navigating life transitions, sexual violence survivorship, sexuality and gender challenges, grief, and emotional overwhelm.
He holds an MSc in the Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing, and a BA in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a focus in Psychology, African American Studies, and Linguistics, graduating with Honors/Merit. He holds a certificate in Mental Health Counseling through the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology and is currently undertaking a three-year Somatic Experiencing® training program.
With nearly a decade of experience, his background spans independent support services, suicide prevention and reproductive justice hotlines, and counseling training within NGOs. He is also the founder and former director of RADDISH, a nutrition-centered, hunger-relief organization serving homeless LGBTQIA youth, which he led until relocating to Prague.
Committed to ongoing personal and professional development, he actively engages in research and training, identifying as a lifelong learner and "forever student."
He believes in proactive, compassionate support, using a balance of tools and values-based strategies to help guide clients toward their own progress organically. His aim is to help re-establish and empower one's agency and sense of control, so as to find and meet the goals and visions we imagine for ourselves.
Much of their work has benefitted from their educational background in philosophy, linguistics, history, race, sexuality, and gender studies, as well as personal experience of growing up in a multiracial, lower-middle class environment with exposure to various complex issues.
What clients can expect is that every interaction will be flexible to their needs, and that sensitivity and respect is prioritized above all in their life's journey. Healthy boundaries and a relationship built on mutual respect is key in a working relationship.
